Amber Saenz, PRESIDENT
GRADUATE STUDENT COUNCIL – College of Arts and Sciences
Program: Master of Art in Public Anthropology
Amber is a first year MA in Public Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to attending AU, Amber received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Anthropology and Animal Science at Michigan State University. She also received a Master of Science in Pharmacology & Toxicology at Michigan State. She spent many years working in academic animal and biomedical research labs. Her work with animals and medicine would eventually lead her to attending an international veterinarian school. She found she was more interested in the history and culture of the area than the classes themselves and decided to pursue an alternate career. She was accepted into AU and will pursue her passion of studying medical anthropology and archaeological research.
